City Health Director Scott Leroy said raising chickens in the city poses health risks. A chicken coop is home to a sizable amount of chicken droppings, and it smells. After a rain storm, contaminated water is likely to drain into streams and rivers.

Back in the day when I lived on Rocky Glen Road, my next door neighbors, the Dal madias, had goats on their property. My mom bought her house on 9-1-60 and was the first in the 3 houses on RGR. The neighbors were allowed to keep the goats for more than 20 years, till I left Danbury in 1983.
