Yes that's the one, I came across that same site and was tempted to by the post card.
I came across that same business listing on Pritten Hill Rd. in Brookfield, but there was no phone number and it seem to be to far away from the lake.

Hi Nick,my family vacationed at Candlewood lake through the 1950's and as a 2-4 yr old I remember passing the Danbury Dog on our way to the beach. We stayed at the Lake Candlewood Motel and I was wondering if you could tell me where that motel was located.
