The City of Danbury is anticipating the posting of the Entry Level Fire Fighter application and testing process in the near future. Applicants must: be at least 18 years old; have a High School Diploma/Equivalent; have a current Connecticut EMT License; a valid driver's license and have a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Additionally, candidates will be responsible for maintaining a current CPAT throughout the life of an eligibility list which means a CPAT with an issue date of no more than one year prior to a potential interview date.
Human Resources Director, Virginia Alosco-Werner explained, "We want everyone who is interested in
becoming a City of Danbury Fire Fighter to have the opportunity to apply. Therefore, if someone needs to take a CPAT test, they must register for it now since it will not be available again before the
City's application process begins."
The details of the testing process will be available at the time of posting. Additionally, for a copy of
the job description with a full listing of position requirements contact the City of Danbury Human Resources Department at 203-797-4598 or visit the website at www.ci.danbury.ct.us.
